Welcome to the Mini Session Guide
Thank you for choosing Dynamic Imagery by Becca to photograph your session. The main purpose of this guide is to help plan a stress-free, FUN, and memorable session. With a mini session, we will be running on a tight schedule and sessions are booked back-to-back. I want to optimize our time together and the goal of this guide is to help us prepare for the session.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Before Your Session:
By now you have reserved your session time by signing the contract, paying a deposit and selecting a time. The next stage in the planning process is to review this guide and select the outfits you plan to wear for your session. I will also send you the session location for the minis.
During Your Session:
Please arrive prior to your scheduled session time. As mentioned schedules will be back-to-back and any delay in arrival will impact the amount of time you are photographed and then will impact the amount of photos you receive back.
After Your Session:
As soon as the session is over I will backup the images and begin editing. Editing takes anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Your photos will be delivered through an online gallery where you can download and save them.
Let’s Talk About What to Wear
The most important advice I can give you in regards to picking out your outfits is to wear what makes you feel confident. Photo sessions are an event, please dress up as if going to an event. When selecting outfits, compliment each other in colors (don’t match each other), and have fun with it! If you like patterns, I suggest pairing one pattern to every three solid color outfits.
At the studio there are a few background options to choose from. Currently there is gray, black, dark green, yellow, and purple.
Bonus Tips:
If you have babies or toddlers:
- Feel free to bring an extended family member or friend for an extra set of hands.
- Bring a toy they love or that makes noises.
- Bring their favorite snack.
- Have their favorite song to dance to on standby.
If you have young kids:
- Bring their favorite snack.
- Have their favorite song to dance to on standby.
- Encourage them through the prompts. They may be asked to run circles around you, get tickled, or give hugs.
