Welcome to the Senior Session Guide
Thank you for choosing Dynamic Imagery by Becca to photograph your senior session. The main purpose of this guide is to help plan a stress-free, FUN, and memorable senior session. We will begin the session three to two hours before sunset so that we will achieve the best quality of light. The setting for your senior pictures should reflect YOU and YOUR STYLE! We will work together on picking out the best location for your style and interests together. If you have a special place in mind please let me know prior to your session.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Before Your Session:
Before your session, we’ll dive into the details to make sure we’re capturing the real you—the one that shines through! Each senior session is a one-of-a-kind experience, tailor-made just for you. To get started, I’ll send over a questionnaire to help me get to know your personality, style, and vision. We’ll also work together to finalize locations and outfits that truly reflect who you are. Got any questions or ideas? Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help make this an unforgettable experience!
During Your Session:
Photo sessions typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. We’ll meet at your chosen location right on time, and then it’s time to explore! Be sure to bring your walking shoes because we’ll be venturing around to discover different scenic backgrounds to make your session truly unique. Whether you’ve got fun posing ideas or cool props in mind, I’m all for getting creative and making sure we capture your personality in every shot!
After Your Session:
As soon as the session is over I will backup the images and begin editing. Editing takes anywhere from 4-5 weeks during the busy season. I will have a sneak peek from the session edited and up on social media within two weeks of the session.
Let’s Talk About What to Wear
The most important thing to remember when picking out outfits is to choose pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable. When you feel good in what you’re wearing, it will absolutely shine through in your photos. Choose clothes that reflect your style, personality, and the vibe you want to convey!
Girls What to Wear:
Details Matter: Before your session, make sure your nails are either painted in a color that will match your outfits, or plain.
Consider the Location: Think about the vibe of your photoshoot location and choose outfits that fit. For example, soft, earthy tones might look great in a natural, outdoor setting, while bold, vibrant colors might pop in a more urban or industrial backdrop.
Layers and Accessories Add Dimension: Don’t be afraid to layer! A jacket, scarf, or statement accessories like hats or jewelry can add depth to your outfit, making your photos even more dynamic.
Bring Multiple Options: Plan to bring a few outfit options. This gives us flexibility and the chance to get different looks throughout the session. Variety is always a plus!
Keep Hair & Makeup in Mind: While this isn’t strictly an outfit detail, it’s important to think about how your hair and makeup will complement your clothes. Consider a look that enhances your overall style and matches the tone of your session.
The key is to select outfits that not only look great but make you feel amazing. After all, the more you love your look, the more it will show in your photos!

Making it Your Own
Let’s make your senior photos reflect who you are during this special time in your life!
A few ways you can personalize your photos beyond the outfits are by incorporating some of your interests, hobbies, or pets.
Do you have a cool car that you love to drive? Bring it!
Do you love art, music, or theatre? Let’s include it!
If you have something you would like to include in your session, please add it to your session questionnaire.

SELECTING YOUR LOCATION
Let your personality shine by choosing the right locations for your session.
Reflect Your Personality and Interests
Your senior session should be a reflection of you. Think about the places you love to spend time in or areas that hold special meaning. Whether it’s a park, a local café, or a downtown city street, the location should align with your interests and hobbies. If you love nature, a park or garden might be the perfect spot. If you’re into modern aesthetics, an urban backdrop with architecture might suit you best.
Consider the Season and Time of Year
The season can drastically impact the look and feel of your session. In the spring or summer, you might want to take advantage of blooming flowers and sunny, warm weather. Fall offers stunning foliage and a cozy vibe. The time of year can also influence lighting, so think about how the season’s colors and natural light will work with your outfits and overall vibe.
