At the end of January I had the honor to photograph my childhood friend and her husband for her maternity photos. It was a beautiful, sunny winter evening with a dusting of snow on the ground.
For their session, we stayed at one location, Wanatee Park. Within the park we used a few different spots but all included evergreen trees. Admittedly, I have always enjoyed winter sessions. The dark evergreen trees, contrasting with the white and even the bare trees covered in ice is breathtaking.
My two cents when it comes to winter photos, don’t be afraid to embrace the winter! I offer a short thirty minute session so we don’t freeze. Plus you will get the most cuddly photos in the winter. Take a look at some of my favorite photos from their session below.
